The story of Bella Notte Pampered Artist Retreat

Located in beautiful Red Oak Iowa, Bella Notte, meaning beautiful night is a dream in progress. I mean, do we ever really stop having projects to complete?

My first look at the property was in June of 2014. I knew instantly that this was exactly what I was looking for. After a lot of patience, I was able to start moving in April of 2015. Unfortunately, this was under a rental agreement until the former owners could obtain a clear title. This finally happened on July 10, 2017 when I finally completed the purchase and could officially call it mine. That is when the real work started.

From October 2018 to the end of 2024 I focused on events and the studio area. I affectionately called this phase one.

At the end of 2024 was when I decided it was time to invest into Phase 2. With the completion of the locker room style restroom and three guest rooms I shifted my focus on overnight retreats.
